Is Iranian Food Available in the Netherlands?

The answer to this question is very simple: yes!

Thanks to Turkish supermarkets, even in a elatively small city like Groningen,
you can easily find Iranian groceries.
Of course, in major cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam, there are even dedicated Iranian supermarkets.
In the city of Groningen, three shops—Nazar, Dunya Market, and Sarraf—carry Iranian food
items.
The owner of Sarraf is a lovely elderly man who speaks Persian with an Arabic accent. He told me he is Iraqi himself, but his grandmother was Iranian! His shop is very much like what we, the 80s generation in Iran, remember of classic neighborhood grocery stores.
Nazar Market tends to be a bit on the pricier side, and since it is a bit far from where I live, I visit it less often.
I still do most of my Iranian grocery shopping at Nazar. It's safe to say that almost anything I've looked for, Nazar had in stock. I even found Yek-o-Yek pomegranate molasses. Though poor pomegranate paste, who would have thought it would cost 6.50 euros in the Netherlands?!
They also have high-quality chicken and meat that is both fresh daily and halal.
Despite all this, a few rare ingredients are nowhere to be found, like choochagh,
black barberries, and deeply regional items—which is completely fair!
So now you know: you won't have to miss the authentic taste of Iranian food!
